The Night Before Christmas Train at The Strasburg Rail Road, Opens November 27th

Sparkling skies, warmth from a potbelly stove, the aroma of freshly baked cookies, and magic in the air. Returning in 2015, the popular Night Before Christmas Train runs on four Friday evenings during the holiday season.  The Strasburg Rail Road will donate $5 for every adult ticket sold to the Clinic for Special Children.

This very unique and special train recreates the excitement and anticipation of Christmas Eve. A reader dressed in a Victorian nightshirt and cap will read Clement Clarke Moore’s classic poem, The Night Before Christmas, as passengers enjoy cookies and milk and the train rolls along. Children are also treated to storybook readings of holiday classics aboard our heated Caboose (stationary) and visitors of all ages can enjoy a ride aboard the Tinsel Trolley, a self-propelled motor car. In the spirit of the season, kids may come dressed in pajamas.

The Christmas Tree Train at the Strasburg Railroad--December 5th

Ride aboard the Christmas Tree Train to Leaman Place Grove where you can choose a locally grown, fresh-cut Frasier or Douglas Fir and have the tree delivered by steam on a flatcar back to the station.

Train departure is at 9 a.m. for this exclusive train ride. Once at Leaman Place Grove, passengers will have approximately one hour to choose and purchase that special Christmas tree. Watch it being loaded on the flatcar and enjoy free refreshments. Professional photographers will be available to capture that special memory. You will then be returned to the station by 11 a.m. to pick up your tree from the flatcar. Friendly Strasburg Rail Road staff will assist you with loading your tree.  Back at the historic East Strasburg station, children will be treated to storybook readings of holiday classics aboard our heated Caboose (stationary) and visitors of all ages can enjoy a ride aboard the Tinsel Trolley, a self-propelled motor car.

The Christmas Tree Train runs in addition to the regularly scheduledSanta’s Paradise Express trains.  Seating is limited, so guests are encouraged to purchase tickets early.

Please note that the tree cost is an additional cost.  Christmas trees are priced individually.  However, the average cost of Christmas trees is approximately $40. Train operates rain or shine.

Santa's Paradise Express at The Strasburg Railroad, Opens November 27th

Strasburg Rail Road will welcome a very special visitor this November and December. That’s right, Santa himself will climb aboard and greet the families as they travel down the tracks to Paradise, PA and back. As a special treat, children ages 11 and under will receive a gift from Santa and his helper.

And returning for her second year, Mrs. Claus will be available at the Station from 12-4 PM to help children finalize their letters to Santa!

Visitors of all ages will be charmed as they enjoy a ride aboard the Tinsel Trolley, a self-propelled motor car, and enjoy storybook readings of holiday classics aboard our heated stationary Caboose.

Elizabeth Farms, Opens November 27th

Come and enjoy the tradition of Elizabeth Farms located in Lancaster County. Horse-drawn wagons will carry you through our 200 acres of Christmas trees of many varieties. Roam the fields and enjoy a wonderful day. After cutting a tree with one of our hand-saws, the wagons will return you and your tree to our barn.

We also offer fresh cut trees and we invite you to visit our gift shop for wreaths, swags, greens, roping, tree stands ornaments, local crafts and other accessories. Be sure to visit Santa's Workshop and meet Santa himself.


Dutch Winter Wonderland Opens Nov 21st, 2015

It’s the most Dutch Wonder-ful time of the year! With rides, games, festive entertainment and more, Dutch Winter Wonderland is the perfect holiday destination for families. Old Fashioned Christmas at Kitchen Kettle Village

Fridays: There are plenty of holiday activities to enjoy for young and old alike. Guests of all ages will be delighted by carolers & roaming musicians, holiday cooking demonstrations, s'more making and oodles of specialty Pa Dutch shopping. Experience Christmas with Mrs. Claus & Yummie beginning at 5:00pm or 5:30pm (depending upon the night). Elf at The Fulton Theater

Buddy, a young orphan mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. This case of Sherlock Holmes offers a tale of goodwill with a darker flipside.
